Maintaining a Local Ecosystem

King Salman International University (KSIU) has developed a plan to minimize chemical, physical, and biological alterations of aquatic ecosystems through the following outlines:

1. Environmental Education and Awareness

   • Create and carry out educational initiatives to increase local residents’ and students’ understanding of the value of environmental preservation.

2. Conferences, Workshops, and Campaigns

   • Plan events emphasizing:

     • Waste minimization.

     • Biodiversity preservation.

     • Sustainable practices.

3. Water and Energy Conservation

   • Encourage:

     • Water conservation.

     • Use of renewable energy sources.

     • Energy efficiency in university operations.

4. Multidisciplinary Research

   • Promote research that advances the creation of eco-friendly products and technologies.

5. Eco-Friendly Campus

   • Establish recycling and waste reduction initiatives on campus.

6. Research and Innovation

   • Launch studies to tackle regional environmental issues such as:

     • Pollution.

     • Ecosystems.

     • Climate change.
