KSIU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Egyptian Agricultural Bank
On Tuesday 23rd of November, KSIU signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Agricultural bank.
The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E Dr. Khalid Abdelghafar Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Hamid Shaira, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of KSIU, Sami Abdul Sadiq, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, and Dr. Ashraf Hussein, President of KSIU, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The cooperation aims to open new channels to attract university students to the field of desert agriculture and prepare qualified graduates to deal with the current problems related to agriculture in desert areas.
The agreement stipulates that the Agricultural Bank of Egypt will provide 30 full academic scholarships.
It also provides opportunities for training students during the study, in addition to providing some experts in related general topics.
This agreement is in line with the state’s plan for sustainable development (Egypt Vision 2030), where the university has set among its priorities the provision of full scholarships in partnership with relevant civil institutions, to obtain distinguished students in areas of strategic interest, especially in the plant production program in desert areas.
