Field of Dental Medicine- FACULTY POSITION
The Faculty of Dental Medicine at King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt is seeking to hire a full-time, faculty member at the rank of: PROFESSOR. The candidates must hold A Ph.D. in Dentistry awarded by a recognized university. She/he should be a visionary leader and distinguished scholar, who is eligible for faculty appointment as a full professor or a chair professor in one or more of the Faculty’s teaching fields.
The candidates must have rich experience in teaching, academic leadership, strategic planning, and personnel management, as well as senior academic management experience in a university. The candidate should have a clear collaborative commitment and the ability to develop and implement teaching and research strategies and is able to build and sustain effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
The candidates must have international publications and good experience in scientific research. She/he must have a high level of communicative competence in English.
Candidates who have led an academic department or program and have administration and management experience in national or international universities would be an advantage.
This position will begin on September 1, 2024.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The responsibilities for this position include the following:
Academic and administrative responsibilities by providing effective guidance in all aspects of the Faculty’s academic program, research endeavors, and community outreach activities; teaching, student advising, research and creative activities, and cooperative extension. Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the classroom, laboratory, or telecommunications courses and in immediate preparation for them; maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught; preparing teaching materials; conferring with students on course materials; reviewing written examinations and papers; evaluating presentations and supervising independent study projects.
The Faculty of Dentistry offers an undergraduate degree in Dentistry. The faculty also enjoys positive working relationships with South Sinai organizations. Information about the faculty can be found at https//ksiu.edu.eg.
