- FACULTY POSITIONS – Computer Engineering
The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (Computer Engineering Program and Artificial Intelligence engineering Program) at King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt is seeking to hire full- or part-time faculty members at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The candidates must hold A Ph.D. in Computer or Communication Engineering or a closely related field from a highly reputable university. Areas of special interest are: cryptography, cybersecurity, information and network security, secure programming, telecommunication security, hardware security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and related topics. At least 2 years of teaching experience after Ph.D. is required. The applicant must have an excellent command of the English language and the ability to use Information technology in teaching. This position will begin on Sept 15, 2024. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The responsibilities for this position include the following: teaching (3-4 courses / semester), student advising, research and creative activities, service and cooperative extension, and administrative responsibilities. Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the classroom, laboratory, or online courses and in immediate preparation for them; maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught; preparing teaching materials; conferring with students on course materials; reviewing written examinations and papers; evaluating presentations and supervising independent study projects.
The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in Computer Sciences (Software Engineering, Computer Vision, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Science, and Bioinformatics), and in Computer Engineering (Embedded Systems, Cloud Computing, High Performance Computing, Computer Security, and Artificial Intelligence in Engineering). Candidates who hold a master’s degree in computer science, or a closely related field will be preferred, fresh graduate with Good GPA is also accepted. In addition, candidates prefer to have years of experience after the bachelors. The applicant must have an excellent command of the English language and excellent use of computers in teaching. The candidates must have knowledge and skills related to Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Cybersecurity, secure programming, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms. This position will begin on Sept. 15, 2024. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
