KSIU Signs Cooperation Agreements with Southern Federal University

King Salman International University signed two cooperation agreements with Southern Federal University of Russia for student exchange, academic coordination, and research collaboration. The agreements were finalized during a visit on December 2, 2024, by Prof. Maxim Bondariev, Vice President for International Relations at Southern Federal University, and Prof. Bola Gerges, the university’s Middle East and North Africa representative.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Ola Adel, KSIU Vice President for International Relations, Prof. Gehan Hussein, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Mabrouk, Director of the Ras Sudr Branch and Dean of the Field of Pharmacy, Prof. Tamer Abbas, Director of the Sharm El Sheikh Branch and Dean of the Field of Human and Social Sciences, Prof. Abdel Ghani El-Gendy, Dean of the Field of Desert Agriculture, and other programs’ directors. The collaboration focuses on mutual academic programs, student exchange, and joint research projects in various disciplines.

During their visit, the Russian delegation toured KSIU’s facilities in Ras Sudr, expressing admiration for the advanced laboratories, educational farm, veterinary clinics, sports facilities, and student housing. Professor Bondariev also announced new initiatives to strengthen cooperation between professors and students, in addition to the planned joint academic programs. The delegation concluded the visit by thanking KSIU President Prof. Ashraf Hussein for the warm welcome and expressing their enthusiasm for the future cooperation between the two institutions.
