KSIU Participates in the Arab Camel and Heritage Festival
King Salman International University demonstrated its commitment to community engagement by participating in the Arab Camel and Heritage Festival, held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Sharm El-Sheikh. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, representing the Prime Minister, and Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai.
Students from the university’s Arts and Architecture fields showcased their graduation projects, which featured traditional furniture and models adhering to sustainability standards. The projects utilized local materials and drew inspiration from the unique environment of South Sinai.
KSIU’s participation underscores its dedication to modernizing traditional Bedouin crafts with a contemporary twist, aiming to enhance sustainable tourism in the region. The heritage exhibits received praise for their quality and their role in promoting tourism in South Sinai.
