KSIU Welcomes Professor Dr. Neil Maynard Davies
King Salman International University continues to strengthen its global partnerships and exchange expertise with leading international institutions to develop its educational programs and uphold global academic standards. In line with this vision, the university hosted Professor Dr. Neil Maynard Davies, a distinguished scholar in pharmaceutical sciences and President of the Canadian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences, who was invited as an external reviewer for the Clinical Pharmacy program.
During his visit, Professor Davies delivered a lecture titled “Enhancing the Safety of Oral Chemotherapy: Leveraging Lymphatic Targeting for Cardiac Protection in Preclinical Drug Development,” which was highly appreciated by faculty members and students. Additionally, he conducted a comprehensive review of the program’s quality assurance files and curriculum specifications to ensure alignment with accreditation standards and best practices. His visit also included a tour of the university’s research labs and facilities to assess their capabilities.
The visit concluded with a panel discussion led by Professor Davies, where he engaged with faculty members on key topics related to the pharmacy profession, curriculum development, and potential academic collaborations.
Professor Davies expressed his admiration for the ongoing enhancements in the university’s infrastructure, which support innovative teaching and research. He also praised the high standards maintained by the Faculty of Pharmacy in curriculum updates, laboratory efficiency, and international collaborations aimed at elevating the faculty’s global standing.
