KSIU Organizes “Safety and Security” Awareness Seminar in Celebration of World Day for Safety and Health

At King Salman International University, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy educational environment for all members of our community.

In celebration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, observed annually on April 28, the Field of Nursing, in collaboration with the University’s Occupational Safety and Health Unit, organized an awareness seminar titled “Safety and Security” on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

The seminar aimed to raise preventive awareness among faculty members, administrative staff, and students through a variety of key topics, including promoting a culture of fire prevention, reducing workplace accidents and injuries, fostering a safe and healthy work environment, and emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety protocols.

The event also featured detailed explanations on the causes of fires, the theory of combustion and extinguishment, and hands-on training on the proper use of different types of fire extinguishers according to fire classifications.

Students actively participated by distributing awareness brochures and taking part in a practical evacuation drill to the nearest assembly point. The session included educational video presentations and a live evacuation scenario conducted in cooperation with the university’s Occupational Safety and Health Unit.
