Plant Production Students Participate in Workshop on Wheat Cultivation in Saline Soils
As part of the collaboration protocol between King Salman International University and the Desert Research Center, students of the Plant Production Program at the Field of Desert Agriculture participated in a specialized workshop held at the Ras Sudr Research Station in South Sinai under the title “Wheat Cultivation Technologies in Saline Soils.”
During the workshop, outstanding field results were showcased, demonstrating the success of wheat cultivation experiments in soil with salinity levels close to seawater. These achievements were made possible through innovative technologies, including the use of growth-promoting bacterial strains, nanotechnology applications, and smart irrigation systems.
The students showed remarkable engagement throughout the theoretical and practical sessions, actively participating in scientific discussions with researchers. Their involvement reflects the university’s dedication to developing students’ scientific and research skills by collaborating with specialized research institutions.
King Salman International University remains committed to providing its students with opportunities to connect academic knowledge with practical applications in real-world settings.
