KSIU Celebrates Student Winners of the Second Innovation Competition

King Salman International University extends its warmest congratulations to the winners of the Second Innovation Competition, held under the patronage of Professor Ashraf Saad Hussein,KSIU President. The competition was designed to foster a spirit of creativity and encourage students to develop practical and sustainable solutions aligned with Egypt’s national development goals.

Seventeen teams from various academic programs across the university participated in the event. Projects were evaluated by specialized judging panels comprised of KSIU faculty experts.

The first-place award went to the project: “A New Pumped Hydropower Storage System Based on Hybrid Energy Resources (Wind and Photovoltaic Power)” in the field of new and renewable energy.
The second place was awarded to: “Utilization of Natural Microbial Red Pigment in Biotechnological Applications” in biotechnology.
The third place went to: “Utilization of Rammed Earth Brick as an Alternative to Conventional Bricks in Construction” in the field of construction engineering.

KSIU commends its innovative students on this remarkable achievement and looks forward to even more groundbreaking ideas that support sustainable development.
