KSIU Launches the “Green Roots” Initiative to Promote Environmental Awareness
Reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and environmental education, King Salman International University organized a dedicated environmental event under the title “Green Roots: Planting for a Sustainable Future” at its Sharm El-Sheikh campus, as part of the Climate Change and Sustainability course.
The event witnessed active participation from students, who planted over 100 trees across the university grounds. This hands-on initiative aimed to promote environmental stewardship and highlight the crucial role of trees in reducing carbon emissions and enhancing air quality.
The activity reflected KSIU’s ongoing efforts to embed sustainability principles into its academic and extracurricular programs. It also fostered a spirit of teamwork and volunteerism among students—empowering them to take part in climate action and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
