KSIU Organized Health Awareness Day on Therapeutic Nutrition for Chronic Diseases
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and community integration, King Salman International University (KSIU) organized a health awareness event under the theme “Therapeutic Nutrition for Chronic Diseases”, coinciding with International Nurses Day. The event was held by the Field of Nursing with the participation of fourth-year students.
The activity took place under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hussein, President of the University, and was supervised by Prof. Dr. Reem Mabrouk, Program Director, alongside Prof. Dr. Zizi Fikry and Assistant Professor Dr. Eglal Hakim.
The awareness day included detailed sessions covering medical nutrition therapy for several chronic conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, post-surgical nutrition, as well as kidney and liver disorders. Educational brochures were distributed to provide patients with simplified health information aimed at improving their quality of life.
KSIU extends its appreciation to the Director and team of El-Fayrouz Hospital for their valued support in the success of this initiative.
