KSIU Organizes Russian Cultural Day in Collaboration with Russian Community Association

As part of its efforts to enrich students’ cultural understanding and promote global engagement, King Salman International University organized a Russian Cultural Day at its Sharm El-Sheikh branch on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

The event was held under the patronage of Professor Ashraf Hussein – KSIU President, in collaboration with the Russian community association “PROdvijnie,” and within the framework of the Russian Language Program at the Field of Al-Alsun and Applied Languages.

The program featured a variety of cultural and artistic segments including traditional Russian music, songs in Russian, and poetry in both Russian and Arabic. An interactive competition on Russian and Arabic proverbs added a lively and educational dimension to the event.

Students actively participated in delivering the segments, and the day concluded with a virtual lecture by a faculty member from Southern Federal University in Russia, who shared insights into Russian customs and traditions.

A cultural exhibition was also held on the sidelines, showcasing traditional Russian cuisine, folk costumes, musical instruments, artworks, and symbolic cultural items.
