KSIU Organizes Open Day for Hospitality and Commerce Students in Sharm El-Sheikh
In line with King Salman International University’s commitment to community engagement and bridging the gap between pre-university and higher education, the Sharm El-Sheikh campus welcomed a group of students from secondary hospitality and commercial schools for an immersive academic field visit.
The visit featured detailed presentations on KSIU’s academic offerings, particularly the Fields of Tourism & Hospitality and Administrative Sciences. Students learned about modern teaching methods, practical training opportunities, and future career prospects within the tourism, hospitality, and management sectors. They were also introduced to the university’s application process and holistic learning environment.
The program included a guided tour of the campus facilities—central library, sports grounds, computer labs, dormitories, and the on-campus teaching hotel. Students explored different hotel departments, from reception and public relations to tourism offices, restaurants, kitchens, and swimming pools. A tasting experience of in-house prepared meals gave students a real-world feel of the hospitality industry.
Interactive hotel and administrative activities further enriched the visit, offering students a dynamic introduction to the work environment. They also engaged in open conversations with current KSIU students, who shared their academic journeys and practical experiences, providing inspiration and insight into university life.
Accompanying professors and students praised the high level of professionalism, interactive approach, and academic rigor they observed throughout the visit. Many highlighted how such initiatives help students better understand their future educational and career paths.
This Open Day reflects KSIU’s commitment to providing an applied learning model that combines professionalism, practical engagement, and career readiness, building strong connections with the local educational community and preparing future leaders for both local and global markets.
