KSIU Organizes a Scientific Field Visit for Medical Students to the Tor Sinai Water Desalination Plant
As part of its commitment to delivering a comprehensive educational experience that bridges theoretical learning with real-world application, King Salman International University organized a scientific field visit for fourth-year medical students to the Water Desalination Plant in Tor City.
The visit, held over two days—Saturday and Sunday, July 12–13, 2025—was part of the “Community Health” course, which focuses on environmental health themes.
During the visit, students gained firsthand knowledge of the water purification and desalination processes, as well as the technologies used to monitor water quality and their implications for public health.
The visit offered students valuable insights into the operational mechanisms of the plant and the public health control systems in place, reinforcing their understanding of the crucial relationship between environmental factors and overall community well-being.
