KSIU Organizes a Cultural and Exploratory Trip to Saint Catherine Protectorate to Enhance Students’ Field Knowledge

As part of its ongoing efforts to integrate academic learning with real-world experience, King Salman International University (KSIU) organized a cultural and exploratory trip to Saint Catherine Protectorate, in collaboration between the Field of Tourism & Hospitality and the Field of Al-Alsun and Applied Languages.

The trip included visits to several prominent landmarks such as Saint Catherine’s Monastery and Wadi El Raha, as well as an introduction to the “Great Transfiguration” project, one of Egypt’s major national initiatives in the region.

Students also had the opportunity to visit a traditional Bedouin house, engaging in an immersive field experience that highlighted the unique aspects of Bedouin culture and the rich heritage of South Sinai.

By the end of the trip, students prepared comprehensive tourism reports in four languages—Arabic, English, German, and Russian—showcasing the cultural and touristic significance of the protectorate. This initiative reflects the excellence and global outlook of KSIU students and underscores the university’s commitment to providing a holistic educational experience that extends beyond the classroom.
