KSIU Hosts “Hekaya Wardy” Initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness

As part of its commitment to promoting health awareness among students and the university community, King Salman International University hosted the “Hekaya Wardy” initiative organized by the Egypt Healthcare Authority, aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

The event, conducted in collaboration with the Medical Students’ Scientific Society and the HOH Volunteer Club, included educational sessions highlighting the role of self-examinations and early screenings in prevention and timely treatment, encouraging female students to prioritize their health.

A dedicated screening corner was set up for students and female staff, supervised by specialized medical teams, along with a separate room for clinical examinations for cases requiring further assessment, ensuring a safe and private environment.

The organizers emphasized that through initiatives like this, KSIU aims to foster a culture of health prevention and community awareness. Participants expressed their gratitude for the initiative, noting its positive impact and the valuable knowledge gained about preventive measures and early detection.
