KSIU Signs Two Cooperation Agreements to Train Interior Architecture Students in Furniture Design and Manufacturing
As part of King Salman International University’s ongoing efforts to expand collaboration with industrial and professional institutions and to strengthen academic–industry partnerships that support workforce readiness, the University has signed two cooperation agreements with the Chamber of Wood Products & Furniture Industry and Pinocchio Furniture Company in Damietta. These agreements aim to provide specialized field training opportunities for students of the Interior Architecture Program at the Field of Arts and Design.
The agreements will offer hands-on training experiences in furniture design and manufacturing, bridging academic learning with practical application in real industry environments. The cooperation framework includes organizing factory visits, specialized training workshops, professional supervision for student design projects, and internship placements in accredited furniture production facilities.
The University emphasized that these agreements represent a key step in its vision as a fourth-generation university, committed to building strategic partnerships between education and industry that enhance innovation, creativity, and graduate employability.
This collaboration stands as a distinguished model of integration between academic institutions and the wood and furniture manufacturing sector in Egypt, contributing to improving the quality of education, elevating graduate competency, supporting local manufacturing based on design excellence, and expanding opportunities for applied research and industrial innovation.
