KSIU Conducts Health Awareness Seminars for School Students in South Sinai

As part of its commitment to supporting the Sinai community and contributing to environmental development and public well-being, King Salman International University (KSIU), through the Community Health Nursing Department at the Field of Nursing, conducted a series of health awareness seminars targeting school students across different educational stages in South Sinai.

The seminars covered a range of important health topics, including:

  • Basic first aid and proper responses in emergency situations.
  • Infection control and preventive measures within and outside the school environment.
  • The risks of smoking on public health and strategies to prevent its spread among students.
  • Communicable diseases, recognizing symptoms, and methods of protection.

Program organizers emphasized that these initiatives are part of KSIU’s ongoing plan to raise health awareness among students, foster a generation equipped with the knowledge to maintain their own health and that of their communities, and strengthen the university’s role in supporting local community initiatives and health programs in South Sinai.
