KSIU Field of Architecture Organizes a Workshop Series on Project Development and Management

As part of its commitment to linking academic knowledge with practical application, the Field of Architecture at King Salman International University organized a specialized workshop on project development and management, as part of a series of three consecutive workshops designed to equip students and participants with the essential practical skills required in the professional field.

The series aims to introduce the fundamentals of project development and how to work as a successful project manager. It targets beginners, practitioners, professional project managers, and public officials, providing a comprehensive overview of how to develop a project and work within integrated teams, whether as team members or team leaders.

The three workshops covered key topics, including:

  1. How to build a project
  2. Leadership and communication skills
  3. Project management and control

The workshops also aimed to achieve several educational objectives, including giving participants the opportunity to exchange and discuss ideas, providing a comprehensive overview of project development stages, and equipping them with a complete understanding of the different knowledge areas, processes, and resources required to operate effectively as project managers.

Participants were also introduced to tools for managing project scope, costs, and schedules, ensuring the successful and efficient execution of projects based on scientific and methodological principles.

By the end of the series, participants are expected to gain a thorough understanding of the project manager’s role and the stages of project development from conception to implementation. The workshops were led by Professor Osama Al-Hemshari, who has over 30 years of experience in urban planning, transport projects, and university teaching.

These activities reflect King Salman International University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen practical aspects of education and prepare graduates capable of managing projects efficiently and professionally across various sectors.
