KSIU Graphic Design & Branding Student Wins Third Place at Arab Star Pack 2025
King Salman International University extends its sincere congratulations and pride to student Merihan Khaled Kamal, a fourth-year student at the Field of Arts and Design – Graphic Design and Branding Program, on winning third place at the prestigious international competition Arab Star Pack 2025 – Packaging Award, in the Student Visual Design Category. This achievement reflects the high level of creativity and excellence demonstrated by the program’s students at the international level.
The award was earned through a project focused on the redesign of “El Maleka Pasta” packaging, completed under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Gamal. The project presented an innovative design vision that highlighted Egyptian cultural identity through a contemporary visual approach aligned with modern market demands.
The design concept celebrated Egypt’s rich cultural heritage, drawing visual inspiration from the name “El Maleka” (The Queen), symbolizing the strength, prestige, and elegance of ancient Egyptian queens. These historical elements were reinterpreted through bold and modern packaging aesthetics that effectively connect heritage with contemporary visual storytelling.
This achievement underscores the distinction of the Graphic Design and Brand Building Program and its students’ ability to compete internationally, while also reflecting the quality of the academic and practical training provided by King Salman International University.
The university wishes Merihan Khaled Kamal continued success and further accomplishments that continue to elevate the university’s presence on regional and international platforms.
