KSIU ninth Student-Staff Liaison Committee meeting

KSIU Holds the Ninth Meeting of the Student-Staff Liaison Committee Across Its Three Campuses

King Salman International University held the ninth meeting of the Student-Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) simultaneously across its three campuses: Ras Sudr, El Tur, and Sharm El-Sheikh. The meeting was chaired by the University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, and attended by the Directors of the Campuses, Academic Advising Coordinators, Deans of Faculties, and Program Directors, in implementation of the directives of Professor Dr.Ashraf Hussein, President of the University. Student unions also participated to enhance communication between students and academic leadership.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the recommendations achieved from the previous meeting in each campus, discussed the main challenges faced by students over the past period, and presented plans to improve the academic and student environment. Student representatives offered numerous proposals regarding the development of the educational process, expansion of extracurricular activities, and enhancement of practical training opportunities to support their readiness for the labor market.

The meeting addressed several key issues affecting academic affairs and student services, including:

  • Monitoring the implementation of student proposals and activities that support campus life.
  • Addressing service-related issues, facilities, and examination schedules.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of activating the role of student unions in representing their peers, enhancing participation in university activities, and instilling positive values within the university campus.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the university administration’s commitment to study all proposals and follow up on their implementation, ensuring a progressive educational environment and an effective partnership between students and the administration across all campuses.
