KSIU Hosts International Pathology Conference in Collaboration with the Royal College of Pathologists
On Thursday, December 4, 2025, King Salman International University (KSIU) hosted the International Pathology Conference in collaboration with the Royal College of Pathologists, UK, in celebration of International Pathology Day, under the theme: “Empowering Pathologists through Interdisciplinary Collaboration: A Call to Action.”
The conference welcomed prominent figures, including Prof. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Prof. Omar Laith Qasid, and Ms. Joan Brinklow, alongside advisors from the Royal College of Pathologists in Egypt and a group of international experts.
Specialists from Egypt, the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Singapore participated in diverse fields, including media and communication, artificial intelligence, computer sciences, nanotechnology, medical diagnostics and genetics, laboratory quality, forensic pathology, cellular and interventional pathology, and public health.
The conference featured 17 presentations and discussion sessions, focusing on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance healthcare quality and support education and research in pathology. These sessions produced innovative ideas and new insights that contribute to progress in the field.
The event was attended by 540 participants from 40 countries across five continents, including professionals in medicine, health sciences, and biotechnology, creating a rich environment for knowledge exchange.
The conference was held under the patronage of Prof. Ashraf Saad Hussein, President of KSIU, and the scientific program was organized by Dr. Fatma El-Zahraa El-Khamisi, with active participation from KSIU students, supporting Egypt’s National Strategy for Science, Technology, and Innovation 2030.
Participants praised the conference for its innovative and unconventional topics, highlighting the excellence of the speakers and quality of presentations, and emphasized that the conference theme reflects KSIU’s vision of excellence and providing opportunities for development and learning beyond traditional methods.
