KSIU Launches Russian Language Training Program to Qualify Tourism Professionals

King Salman International University has launched a specialized training program titled “Russian Language for the Tourism Industry,” in collaboration with the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and the Russian House in Egypt. The program aims to enhance the skills of university students and tourism sector employees in Sharm El-Sheikh, improving their ability to effectively serve Russian tourists, one of Egypt’s key international markets.

The program spanned two weeks, totaling 36 training hours, and included the participation of 50 university students and 50 employees from major hotels and resorts, including Grand Rotana, Rixos, Savoy, Sultan Gardens, Sunrise, Four Seasons, Coral Beach, Continental, Mövenpick, Novotel, and Hilton. The training featured beginner and specialized Russian language courses for tourism, along with workshops, practical simulations within hotel and hospitality sectors, and training on effective communication, understanding Russian culture, and marketing strategies tailored to the Russian market.

The program’s opening ceremony featured official speeches from representatives of the Russian House, the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, and key figures from the hotel industry, along with a presentation highlighting KSIU’s international partnerships. Participants praised the program for its high level and direct impact on enhancing their professional skills, reinforcing KSIU’s commitment to integrating practical international expertise into education and professional development.
