KSIU Organizes Event Marking World Day for Safety and Health at Work

The Faculty of Nursing organized an event marking the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on Monday, April 27, 2026, as part of its commitment to promoting a culture of occupational safety and health.

The event featured the participation of fourth-year students enrolled in the Occupational Safety and Health course, who presented their projects and practical applications under the supervision of faculty members, in collaboration with the university’s safety team.

The program also included contributions from the Civil Protection Department of South Sinai Governorate, which delivered awareness sessions and hands-on training on fire prevention and the use of firefighting equipment. Additionally, the Canal Electricity Distribution Company participated with a lecture on electrical hazards, safe usage practices, and energy conservation.

The event further addressed key topics related to patient safety, highlighting the critical role of nursing professionals in implementing safety standards within healthcare facilities.

This initiative reflects KSIU’s ongoing efforts to prepare qualified graduates capable of applying occupational safety standards and to support a safe and sustainable educational and healthcare environment.
