KSIU Organizes Awareness Day on Therapeutic Nutrition for Chronic Diseases in Tor Sinai

King Salman International University (KSIU), represented by the Faculty of Nursing, organized an awareness day at Al-Fayrouz Medical Complex in Tor Sinai under the title “Therapeutic Nutrition for Chronic Diseases,” with the participation of fourth-year students, in conjunction with World Nursing Day celebrations.

The event highlighted the importance of therapeutic nutrition and its role in preventing chronic diseases and improving patients’ health conditions, particularly for patients with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and cancer. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of healthy nutrition as an essential part of treatment plans.

Activities included health education sessions for patients and visitors at the medical complex, the preparation and distribution of awareness booklets, and direct interaction with patients to answer questions related to healthy dietary habits.

Students also honored the nursing staff at the hospital in recognition of their humanitarian and professional efforts by presenting flowers and symbolic gifts as a gesture of appreciation for their role in serving patients and the community.

This initiative reflects KSIU’s commitment to preparing nursing professionals who combine academic excellence with strong humanitarian and community values, while supporting health awareness and community engagement initiatives.
