Faculty Position Announcement

1.Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in

Construction and Building Technology or Urban Design

The Faculty of Architecture at King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Architecture.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Construction and Building Technology or Urban Design specialization or a closely related field from a recognized institution. Candidates should demonstrate an excellent command of the English language, proficiency in the use of digital technologies and computer applications for teaching and learning, experience with national and international accreditation processes, and competency in industry-standard architectural design software.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Position Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the faculty’s academic mission through:

  • Teaching 3-4 courses per semester;
  • Familiar with specialization relevant software;
  • Academic advising and mentoring of students;
  • Conducting research, scholarly, and creative activities;
  • Participating in community engagement and professional service activities; and
  • Undertaking departmental and administrative responsibilities.
  • Participation in research projects

Teaching duties include classroom, studio, laboratory, and online instruction; course preparation and development; maintaining expertise in the subjects taught; preparing instructional materials; consulting with students regarding course content; grading examinations, assignments, and presentations; and supervising independent study and research projects.
