Preparing Future Physicians: Specialized Laparoscopic Surgery Training for KSIU Medical Students
King Salman International University (KSIU), through its Medical Simulation Center, organized a specialized training course in laparoscopic surgery for fifth-year medical students as part of its commitment to strengthening practical medical education.
The course aimed to introduce students to the latest surgical techniques while enhancing their hands-on skills through training in a realistic clinical simulation environment.
Practical sessions were supervised by Prof. Emad Sarhan, Professor of Surgery and Laparoscopy at the Faculty of Medicine, who guided students through the fundamentals of laparoscopic procedures and modern minimally invasive surgical techniques. Participants also engaged in hands-on training using advanced surgical simulation equipment.
The training contributed to enhancing students’ readiness for clinical rotations and future medical practice by providing valuable practical experience in a safe and controlled learning environment.
This initiative reflects the Medical Simulation Center’s ongoing commitment to advancing practical medical education through innovative training programs that develop students’ clinical and surgical competencies and prepare them for modern healthcare practice.
At KSIU, we believe that medical excellence begins with hands-on training and experiential learning.
