FACULTY POSITIONS

The Faculty of Medicine at King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt, invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the following specialties:

BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES
• Anatomy
• Histology
• Biochemistry
• Physiology
• Pathology
• Pharmacology
• Microbiology
• Parasitology
• Community Medicine
• Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology

CLINICAL MEDICAL SCIENCES
• Internal Medicine
• General Surgery
• Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Pediatrics
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Psychiatry
• Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
• Dermatology

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent terminal academic degree) in the relevant specialty from a recognized university.

Candidates should demonstrate:
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Proficiency in the use of educational technologies and computer-assisted teaching.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

The following qualifications are preferred:
• Recent international publications in reputable indexed journals.
• Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
• Participation in funded research projects.
• International academic collaboration and outreach.
• Administrative and leadership experience in higher education.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Faculty members will be expected to:

  • Teach undergraduate medical courses (2–3 courses per semester).
    • Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities.
    • Advise and mentor students.
    • Conduct research and scholarly activities.
    • Participate in community service and outreach programs.
    • Serve on faculty and university committees.
    • Prepare course materials, assessments, and examinations.
    • Supervise student projects and independent learning activities.
    • Maintain and enhance professional competence in their specialty.
    • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Faculty and University.

For Clinical Departments (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, ENT), responsibilities may also include:

  • Providing clinical services in affiliated teaching hospitals and outpatient clinics.
    • Participating in clinical teaching, bedside teaching, and skills training.
    • Contributing to the development of clinical training programs.

  2. CLINICAL MEDICAL SCIENCES

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold MBBCh degree (The graduation Degree of Faculty of Medicine in EGYPT) from a recognized University. The graduation degree should be at least “Very Good evaluation”. Graduation with honors is preferred. Applicants must have completed their medical internship period. Male applicants must provide proof of completion or exemption from military service.

Candidates should demonstrate:
• Excellent command of the English language.
• familiarity in the use of educational technologies and computer-assisted teaching.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching Assistants members will be expected to:

  • Conduct practical classes, tutorials, and small-group discussions.
  • Demonstrate laboratory techniques in anatomy, histology, physiology, pathology, microbiology, and other basic sciences.
  • Assist in clinical skills teaching and simulation sessions.
  • Participate in bedside teaching and clinical rounds under faculty supervision.
  • Participate in exam supervision.
  • Help mark assignments, practical examinations, and OSCE stations under faculty guidance.
