Biography

Dr. Badawy earned his Ph.D. from Helwan University, Egypt in 2008 and is currently an Associate Professor of Interior Design at Faculty of Arts and Designs, King Salman International University (KSIU), with Twenty-five years of teaching experience.

Before joining KSIU, Dr. Badawy worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University in 1998 and later as an Assistant Teacher in 2002. In 2008, he joined the Department of Interior Design and Furniture at Helwan University as a Lecturer. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2016 and later to Associate Professor at the same department. Dr. Badawy has also been actively involved in academic and administrative roles, serving as a Member of the Applied Art Designers Syndicate, the Quality Committee of the College of Applied Arts, and the Development and Exhibitions Committee for the academic year 2018/2019.

Dr. Badawy current research interests focus on Sustainable Architecture and Interior Design, Arts and Design Sciences, Interdisciplinary Design Research, Urban and Environmental Sustainability, and Creative Solutions Inspired by Natural Systems.
