Biography
Prof. Shawky earned his Ph.D. from Ain Shams University, Egypt, via a double channel with Louisiana State University, USA and is currently a Professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, King Salman International University (KSIU), with Thirty-four years of teaching experience.
Before joining KSIU, Prof. Shawky worked as Preclerkship Coordinator (EMP) at Ain Shams University, Chairman of Anatomy at Ain Shams University and Mu’tah University (Jordan), Vice Dean & Acting Dean at Mu’tah University (Jordan), and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cleveland Clinic, USA. He also served as a Research Fellow at Louisiana State University, USA.
Prof. Shawky ‘s current research interests focus on Cardiovascular Biology, Neurobiology, and Otology. Interests are in the organization of the cytoskeleton and intracellular signal transduction. Utilizing the techniques of cell and tissue culture, Immunofluorescence, immunoelectron microscopy (TEM & SEM), Laser-scanning confocal microscopy and Computer image analysis.
