Biography

Dr. Elrouby earned his PhD from the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Baku, Azerbaijan and is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Basic sciences, King Salman International University (KSIU), with more than ten years of teaching experience.

Before joining KSIU, Dr. Elrouby has worked as a Demonstrator at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Sohag University, Sohag, Egypt (2004-2009). He then progressed to Assistant Lecturer at the same department (2009), followed by a promotion to Lecturer in May 2014. Subsequently, he was appointed as Associate Professor at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Sohag University, from October (2019 – 2021).

Dr. Elrouby current research interests are focused on chemical and electrochemical synthesis of various materials, including metals, alloys, oxides, and composites, with a focus on their applications in several key areas. These include energy-related applications such as batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, and supercapacitors, as well as sensor technologies for detecting gases, toxic materials, and drugs. Additionally, his research explores environmental materials chemistry, including water treatment applications, and investigates corrosion and inhibition mechanisms in metals and alloys.
