Biography
Prof. Said earned his PhD from the University of Hull, United Kingdom and is currently a Professor of Parasitology at the Faculty of Veterinary, King Salman International University (KSIU), with Twenty-four years of teaching experience.
Before joining KSIU, Prof. Said has worked as a Demonstrator at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Alexandria University (1999 -2005). Then, he worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Hull, School of Biological Sciences, United Kingdom (2005 – 2009). Upon returning to Alexandria University, he worked as a Lecturer of Parasitology (2013 – 2015), was promoted to Associate Professor of Parasitology (2015 – 2020), and later became a Professor of Parasitology (2020- 2022).
Prof. Said current research interests are focused on Molecular study of animal and human parasites, developing treatments and vaccines against internal and external parasites, Developing and using modern technology to detect parasitic infections, using parasites as research models to study human diseases and Aquatic parasitology.
