Program Description
The Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine program is specialized in studying a wide range of specialties aimed at the development and protection of livestock, poultry, and fish. Students are provided with theoretical and practical information through intensive practical training in modern laboratories and well-equipped farms. Thus, the graduate can conduct laboratory and field diagnostics and to treat diseases of animals, poultry, and fish efficiently and effectively, maintain food safety and protect the consumer from common diseases in addition to conducting surgery and birth and tissue examination blood analysis, and chemical and biological tests.
Graduate Attributes
- Graduates are able to make a laboratory diagnosis of pathogens bacterial, fungal, parasitic, and viral diseases affecting animals, poultry, and fish.
- Conduct blood analysis, histological examination, and chemical and biological laboratories.
- Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of animals, poultry, and fish and the application of the principles of biosecurity to prevent disease on farms.
- Ability to manage and supervise animal, poultry, and fish farms.
- Inspection of meat and its products as well as dairy products, eggs, and oils.
- Can protect animals from diseases of malnutrition.
- Preventive programs are implemented to prevent the spread of epidemic, endemic or common diseases.
- Work and management of veterinary pharmacies and analytical laboratories.
- Establishment of veterinary clinics for domestic animals.
- Work in veterinary quarries and research institutes for animal research
- Ability to conduct surgery operations and endoscopy.
- Conducting artificial generation and birth to improve and increase livestock production.
