The program aims to qualify students for translation as well as consecutive and simultaneous interpreting between Russian and Arabic. It focuses on preparing students to work across various fields, including economic, legal, political, cultural, tourism, and technical sectors, to meet the demands of the labor market at international forums and conferences. With the increasing number of Russian-speaking tourists, the program also equips students with the skills to support the growing tourism industry, facilitating effective communication and enhancing visitor experiences. Additionally, the program prepares graduates to work as translators at major projects like the Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant, addressing the need for specialized linguistic expertise in industrial and technical domains.

The Translation and Interpreting Program in Russian aims to qualify students for written translation in different fields that would meet the needs of the labour market on both the nation, regional and international levels including political, cultural, legal, economic, literary and audiovisual translation as well as oral interpreting from and into Arabic.
In light of regional and international development as well as expanded cultural interaction, the need for intercultural communication at all levels and well-qualified translators has inevitably increased. Hence, the program prepares students to work in the field of translation and interpreting by providing them with necessary professional, behavioral, and ethical tools.

Independent students who are willing to read a lot and do research because voracious readers make good translators and interpreters. It is a must that students should have good command of both Russian and standard Arabic languages whether in the spoken or written forms of language, besides having a high sense of commitment.
Practicing oral translation in specialized labs to imitate real-life experiences, in addition to exposing students to different fields of translation, which allows them to explore and mark their preferences.
Graduates a wide range of opportunities to work as professional translators and simultaneous interpreters in well-reputed organizations locally and internationally. Graduates can also work in multiple fields such as:
Candidates need to read a lot on different topics and current events in both Russian and Arabic. They need to practice active listening and speaking, besides promoting their ability of self-studying extra-curricular material, to train themselves on self-reliance.
