Program Description
The program aims to deliver highly qualified graduates who can understand and analyze the cultural values of the community and create effective and flexible state-of-the-art solutions to meet community needs considering the country’s comprehensive development plans.

The architecture program leads to various job opportunities such as:
- Architectural Designer: Work with clients to design and develop architectural designs and models.
- Project Architect: Oversee the design and construction of a project, ensuring that it meets the client’s requirements.
- Interior Designer: Design interior spaces for residential, commercial, and public buildings.
- Landscape architect: works with city government and community organizations to plan and develop cities and their spaces, considering the impact on the natural resilient environment.
- Sustainability Consultant: Work with clients to create environmentally sustainable and green buildings.
- Construction Manager: Oversee the construction of a project, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Technical Office Architectural Engineer: Work closely with architect, construction manager, and other engineers to ensure that the project meets all architectural and engineering specifications and budget.
- Heritage Conservationist: Preserve, propose and apply the correct intervention within heritage sites and heritage buildings.

The architecture program is a specialized educational program that qualifies students for an architectural career. It normally comprises topics such as architectural design, building construction, history and theory of architecture, sustainable design, technical systems…etc.
A bachelor’s degree currently takes 5 years to complete.
Internationalization includes research cross-cultural collaborations, student exchange programs, inviting international professors, scholars and professionals for teaching, international workshops and sessions in addition to international conferences hosting and organization.
Yes, the architecture program offers specializations in areas such as sustainable design, heritage conservation, ecotourism and project management where students can choose to focus their studies on a specific area of interest within the field of architecture.
The field training is emphasized in several mandatory courses within the curriculum to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Field training courses provide students with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, learn about different design approaches and construction techniques, gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and understand the challenges of the architecture profession and build a network of contacts within the industry.
Enrollment prerequisites include a recognized high school diploma or equivalent, completion of certain math and science courses, and passing the admission exam.
The minimum score for admission to the architecture program changes annually according to the Egyptian Universities Admission Coordination Office requirements for Egyptian General Secondary school certificate (Thanawyia Amaa) and AlAzhar, Arab and foreign certificates equivalent.
Students on-campus accommodation is available at three campuses.
No, the faculty does not accept technical diplomas, but the university has a field of Technological industries at El Tur Branch.
