Tamer Mohamed Abbas is a professor at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, Helwan University, Egypt. He is currently on Secondment leave as a professor and program director at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, King Salman International University (KSIU), Sharm El-Sheikh Branch, Egypt. He is Sharm El-Sheikh Branch Rector. He has his PhD through a channel scholarship with Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. He has been a visiting professor at Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK) and Purdue University (USA). His research interests are hospitality information technology, green hospitality, hospitality education, hospitality marketing, and human resource management in hospitality. He is the Associate Editor of the International Academic Journal of Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management. He is a reviewer in the highly-ranked international tourism and hospitality journals. He has many international publications in Routledge (Taylor and Francis Group), and Emerald Insight. He has 59 citations and an h-index of 3 (Google Scholar URL: https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=dFtGc0MAAAAJ). He is a member of numerous professional tourism and hospitality bodies.
