The Minister of Higher Education Visits Al Tur Campus

Professor Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, inspected the new educational and service facilities at the KSIU’s Al Tur Campus. The minister was accompanied by Major General Dr. Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, Professor Dr. Ashraf Saad Hussein, President of KSIU, and a group of leaders from the Ministry and the University: college deans and program coordinators.

At the beginning of the visit, the minister inspected the faculties of the medical and engineering sectors, and the outpatient clinics building. As well as and the “one-day” centre, through which the university seeks to provide distinguished medical service to the people of South Sinai Governorate.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour also inspected the university’s central library, the medical simulation centre, and the digital examination hall equipped with the latest technological devices, in addition to the outdoor and indoor playgrounds and the gymnasium.

The visit also included an inspection of the University Center for Professional Development, established in cooperation with the American University in Cairo. To support students and graduates and improve their skills and abilities to meet the requirements of the current and future labor market.

The Minister also inspected the conduct of the end-of-first semester exams for the current academic year 2023-2024 in various colleges.

Moreover, the Minister inspected the new Al-Fayrouz Medical Complex, which is located in the city of Al-Tur and includes (reception, outpatient clinics, obstetrics, and gynaecology department, nursery department, patient wards and rooms, laboratories, operating rooms, lecture halls, doctors’ housing and administrative offices). The medical complex will be a strong addition to the health care system serving the people of the Sinai region.

Professor Dr. Ashraf Saad Hussein emphasized that the university is working to develop study programs and educational facilities to advance the educational and research process and to nurture talented and gifted students. He also noted that the university has prepared a map of student events and activities for the current academic year; To hone the skills and capabilities of students, pointing out that the new facilities are in line with the university’s plan for continuous development and expansion of its buildings and facilities. That is in parallel with the efforts being made to bring about qualitative development at the level of educational services, student and research activities, and the services that the university provides to the surrounding community. 

Professor Dr. Ashraf Saad Hussein explained that King Salman International University offers many distinguished programs and fields, including the field of engineering sciences, the field of computer engineering, the field of computer science, the field of technological industries, the field of advanced basic sciences, the field of desert agriculture, the field of medicine, and dentistry, The field of pharmaceutical sciences, the field of veterinary medicine, the field of nursing, the field of administrative sciences and business, the field of applied languages, the field of architecture, the field of tourism and hospitality, and the field of arts and design.
