King Salman International University (Center for Career Development) is recruiting administrative positions for the specialties needed for the upcoming academic year (2023-2024) as listed

1- Director

• Provide vision and leadership in the strategic planning and implementation of a comprehensive career services operation with focus on assisting students in their career planning and exploration, acquiring of job search tools and in pursuing career opportunities to land satisfactory employment.
• Supervise and lead UCCD staff ensuring implementation of office strategy and office plans.

• Oversee the implementation of a quality career services, recruitment and employability skills programs for the welfare of senior students.

• Enhance relationships and foster partnerships with a broad base of employers, and university constituents-especially Student Affairs, academic faculties, university administrators and the student community keeping them abreast of job market trends, career and industry needs, graduate placement information, and employer/recruiting expectations.

• Facilitate ongoing strategic planning to ensure quality, continuous improvements, efficiencies and effective services. Foster planning and decision-making informed by internal and external data derived from sound assessment of factors, trends, and best and emerging practices.
• Ensure monitoring and evaluation of office service programs effectiveness.

• Oversee UCCD’s budget and full financial cycle.

• Ensure use of up-to-date technology in conducting office programs and services.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in a related field

• Master’s degree preferably in higher education, counseling or business administration.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in career development, human resources, or youths training and development

• Previous experience should include at least three years’ experience in a management level and subordinates’ supervision.

• Successful track record of vision/goal setting and strategic planning

• Prior experience in coaching, counseling, training or teaching university students

• Previous community service experience is an asset

2- Employer Relations and Recruitment Officer

• Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day management of the recruitment services program that actively generates job opportunities, and communicate them to students.

• Plan and organize the annual career fair in coordination with UCCD staff.

• Correspond with and conduct corporate visits to employers’ re- recruitment functions and events.

• Advise employers of UCCD recruitment services and refer students to employers as requested and in compliance with professional standards.

• Solicit experiential learning, internships and career opportunities from employers.

• Develop relationships with the corporate and business community and engage them in students’ career planning process.

• Provide comprehensive information to employers about academic programs.

• Meet with students seeking employment and support them in their job search.

• Contribute to the coordination of the employability skills development program.

• Advise career specialists of potential experiential learning opportunities available to students.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a related field. A master’s degree is an asset.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years prior experience in recruitment services, human resources, or youths training

• Previous experience should include at least three years’ experience in a management level and subordinates’ supervision

• Prior experience in event organization is preferred

• Previous community service experience is an asset

3- Career Development Specialist

• Provide individual and group career advising to students.

• Plan and conduct career development workshops. Work with student organizations and other student service offices to address student career development needs.

• Coach students through resume development, job search and interviewing process.

• Coordinate career development services and promote career awareness, exploration, and planning.

• Provide and coordinate administration and interpretation of career assessments.

• Facilitate work-based learning opportunities. Coordinate activities for students to develop employability skills.
• Instruct and advise students regarding job-search strategies and job-search skill development including resume and letter preparation, interview techniques, networking, and employer research.

• Conduct resume critique and mock interviews.

• Prepare and organize career and employment events in collaboration with the employer relations and recruitment officer
• Implement –in coordination with the recruitment coordinator- experiential learning programs including job shadowing and internship programs.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a related field. A master’s degree is an asset.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years prior professional experience in career development, human resources, or youths training and development

• Prior experience in coaching, counseling, training or teaching university students

• Previous community service experience is an asset

4- Data and Information Specialist

• Develop and manage UCCD Internet presence. Act as liaison with university computer support staff.

• Market and promote the office’s recruitment and career programs and events among various constituents using various tools (print, social media, etc.)

• Maintain and update UCCD’s website

• Diagnose hardware and software problems; install new and/or upgrade equipment; schedule regular and special systems/software maintenance.

• Provide user support and training to UCCD staff on how to use educational and administrative information systems.

• Assist staff in design and maintenance of data base management systems.

• Establish priorities, policies and procedures for data collection and management.

• Develop mechanisms for tracking and reporting data/statistics.

• Provide submissions for office career publications and electronic communications.

• Monitor and evaluate operations and corresponding policies related to student access to services, internal and external communications, staffing, and workflow.

• Coordinate annual follow-up survey of graduates including survey development and design, collection of survey information, supervision of data entry, and generation of statistics/results.

• Edit and produce annual survey report.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in IT or computer science

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years prior professional experience in IT, online systems management and website development

• Prior experience in youths skills training or coaching preferred

• Previous community service experience is an asset

General:

5- Administrative and Training Coordinator 

• Daily management of student assistants, reception and office-wide operations.
• Manage logistics of training activities, functions
• Ensure that policies and procedures for trainings are being implemented
• Manage administrative and promotion functions of the operation
• Handle center’s image building and branding activities
• Coordinate all print material (banners, brochures, posters, booklets …etc)
• Accountable for the office’s operational budget
• Compile monthly reports in coordination with UCCD staff
• Organize events, functions and workshops
• Process repair, maintenance and services requests
• Provide general administrative support for other staff
• Create and maintain an efficient filing and record keeping system
• Maintain the attendance log and leave plans for UCCD staff
• Perform other duties as required

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree is required;

Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years prior professional in an administrative role
• Prior experience marketing, branding and or promotion
• Previous exposure to training environments is an asset

General:

6- Communication, marketing and social media specialist

The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of various communication social media platforms and how-to usage of tools and content for maximum engagement.

Position holder will ensure setting and implementing a communications and social media strategy that will assist the center in achieving its goals and establishing strong brand connections with all constituents.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a communication social media strategy for center services and activities reaching out to students, employers, faculty and all constituents that engage with the center

• Generate, edit, publish, respond and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages constituents to take action

• Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of center’s social content

• Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules

• Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

• Collaborate with other center functions to develop material that will help the center reach out to different constituents and promote center awareness

Education

• BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations

Experience

• Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist

• Ability to design posters, brochures, handouts and presentations using Adobe suite

• Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

• Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

• Adequate knowledge of SEO

• Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
