KSIU Teams in The Green Challenge Finals

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hussein, President of the University, and within the framework of the university’s efforts for development and social participation, King Salman International University is honored to have its students participate in The Green Challenge competition presented by the international Schneider Electric Company and reach the final stages to find innovative solutions in climate issues, especially facing the governorate of South Sinai.

Nine projects were selected, represented by 27 students from 7 different faculties and several projects were discussed, including

Access to water and future networks, applications, and analytics “Cybersecurity”, provided that the project achieves the sustainable development goals of the United Nations and improves livelihoods in South Sinai at the environmental and economic levels.

The competition offers a training program for students under the supervision of experts from Schneider Electric to provide students with social entrepreneurship and technical skills that help them develop their ideas to be feasible at the local and global levels, in addition to the opportunity to present their solutions to business and sustainability leaders at the Schneider Electric Sustainability Hub in Sharm El-Sheikh in November.
